The weather was perfect, so I went into the Three Sisters Wilderness for a night of solo snowcamping. Dropped the pack in Broken Top bowl, then continued with just a daypack to Green Lakes, returning to the camp spot after sunset. The big moon made it easy to see while setting up camp and starting a fire. Slept under the stars, no tent. After breakfast and packing up, I skied to the notch on the northeast shoulder of Broken Top, at about 8,000'. The snow surface was hard and fast, making for a quick cruise back to the Mt. Bachelor parking lot. A beautiful trip!
