This was the epic year in modern history for the flower bloom in Death Valley because of all the Winter moisture. Fantastic! One of the added treats of the trip was seeing the full moon rise over the Nevada desert as we x-c skied at 10,000' in the White Mountains. The nfollowing morning we were delighted as it slide behind Mt. Whitney and the sun lit up the Owens Valley and the snow-clad Sierras.
