Eastern Oregon's undeveloped Juntura hot springs pool has water averaging 110°F, fully 120° higher than the air temperature during this 2-day visit! The cold temps made for beautiful frost and ice around the pool and along the edge of the Malheur River. After leaving the hot springs, the unpaved road going west from Juntura through the hills to Crane was deserted on this day.
