Early on January 1st, I went out for my traditional New Year's Day cross-country ski tour from Mt. Bachelor to Green Lakes. No friends were available to make the trip this year. Too bad, because it was a beautiful calm day, perfect conditions. The trip took from sunrise until after sunset because of the more than one foot of new snow to break trail through, which slowed me down and tuckered me out! Never saw another person after leaving Mt. Bachelor until after returning, enjoyed the beauty and solitude alone, except for the angels. It was a rare double sighting, two angels!
