March-April. The trip started with a drive from Oregon down to Wild Willie's hot spring near Mammoth, followed by some excellent paragliding in the Owens Valley. Over to Death Valley for the sunrise on the sand dunes at Stovepipe Wells, then on to the Grand Canyon and a hike to the river. The Spring blossoms on the trees at Indian Springs, half way down, were a surprise. Next was Monument Valley, then up through the mountains and across Colorado to Boulder for a visit before going to Beaver Creek for a fantastic time skiing with friends there and at Vail. There was one more major stop on the way back to Bend, to see friends in Kimberly, Oregon. A good trip!
